INTRODUCTION

Govinda Ram Prem Rajiv Muniandy has a degree from the University of Nottingham in Plant Biotechnology. During his internship in plant biotechnology, he conducted edible post-harvest treatment on various tropical fruits and vegetables. He is currently pursuing his post graduate studies in Science, Technology and Sustainability at University of Malaya.

Presently he is the Chairman of Blood Donation, HIV / AIDS program, Malaysian Red Crescent Selangor. He coordinates blood donation programs and HIV/ AIDS awareness campaigns throughout Selangor in schools, industries, and as well as joint corporate social responsibility (CSR) with major multinational firms around Selangor. He is also an active Pink Triangle Foundation resource member of HIV/AIDS in raising public awareness on the subject.

He is also the Assistant Quarter Master (Selangor) with Malaysia Red Crescent Selangor (MRCS) where his responsibility is to ensure sufficient availability and provision of medical supplies and equipment for emergency use. He is also a member of the nation-wide OPS SIKAP where emergency ambulatory services and medical services to motorist injured in road accidents during festive seasons under MRCS is provided. He had attended to numerous traumas and orthopedic cases during these periods.

He has vast experience in facilitating emergency response & management training, safety prevention programmes as well as in conducting cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for various clients in Malaysia including major multinational companies, the general public, school and universities.

He is proficient in various emergency response methods such as primarily life-threatening emergencies such as CPR, bleeding, choking and other life-threatening medical emergencies. He is able to handle management and treatment of heart attack, fractures, stroke, burns, electric shock and poisons. He is a Certified Trainer in Advanced First Aid issued by Malaysian Red Crescent Selangor.
