Course Objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, the participants will be able to:

• • Gain knowledge on International Trade Terms.
  • Understand the various documents used in International Trade and Shipping
  • Understand the various steps involved in Import and Export Procedures and Documents Flow.
  • Know the risks of importing and exporting
  • Know how to manage and minimize these risks through the Contract of Sale and Contract of Carriage
  • Understand the international payment options
  • Understanding the different types of LCs, and its benefits and risk.
  • Knowledge on Incoterms, the differences, benefits and risk.

This program is suitable for Shipping, Purchasing & Accounting Professionals involved directly or in-directly in the Global Shipping and Trade Financing Environment.

Methodology

This program will combine a variety of instructional methods including lecture by an experienced practitioner and consultant, case-study and group discussions covering current practices and their relationship to current practices in Malaysia.
