ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Awareness and Understanding on Testing and Calibration Laboratories QMS (Online Training)

Course Objectives

The ISO/IEC 17025 standard is general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratory. This standard is provided a systematic and risk-based thinking approaches guilder to develop, implement and maintain competent tests and/or calibration’s laboratory that will serve current technology demand.

The primary outcome of this laboratory is the validity of measurement results that come from good control of the measurement process which emphasizes the measurement accuracy that is traced to the national or international measurement system, and also its measurement variation through evaluation of the estimated measurement uncertainty. These measurement results are used as the reference for the measuring inspection and test equipment that are used to measure the products or services by the end user of the organizations to determine its quality.

Participants will learn to:

• Understand the key terminologies related to the science of measurements and ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
• Understand the objective and scope of the ISO/IEC 17025 Standards.
• Understand the function of testing and calibration and its contribution.
• Understand the general, structural, resource, process and management system
  requirements that are basic management and technical requirements to build up
  laboratory quality management system, QMS.
• Identify the importance criteria in the ISO/IEC 17025 used to ensure the validity of the test and/or calibration results.
• Know the concept of the measurement system may help avoid unnecessary error or risks when the measurement results use to make a decision.
