Course Objectives

  • Understand and conduct Business Performance Analysis, SWOT analysis
  • Determine the most profitable product/s in the Product-mix, the Business Cost structures and Operating Costs (OPEX)
  • Conduct a simple comparative study exercise on the Business ’s Market position
  • Explore the improvements that the Business could implement immediately to improve service, fast and effective, business environment, retail and commercial/corporate, Business image, cleanliness, Systems, Customer Service Representatives
  • Hands-on develop new business strategies for the Business, new Cost structures, new cost control measures
  • Select and implement the best business strategies. Change Management, review and change of Product Mix, effective cost control strategies, efficient cost structures, quality, solving the business’s problems with regards to customer satisfaction and deliveries. Branch financial reporting and operations effectiveness. A series of staff meeting to facilitate changes and gauge staff readiness and ability to handle changes
  • Monitor and control for any deviations on regular basis, weekly reports, monthly reports
  • Business Management ownership in leading the team to profitability.
  • Using personal profiling tools developed by Innermetrix.co.uk to determine TEAM suitability, talent development in the company and fostering excellent Teamwork

Target Audience

  • All Business managers and Branch Managers of currently non profitable Business.
  • Identified pool of new Business Managers and existing Assistant Business Managers
  • Senior Managers, Assistant Managers, Executives of the Branch Administration Department Head Office
  • Head Office Managers with no finance and accounting background working in the Company


The course will be conducted as a Workshop and interactive sessions and course materials will be provided to all participants. Group Project and Brief Exercises will also be used in conducting this programme. Question and Answer sessions will be opened at the end of every module to enforce understanding and retention.
The course will use Innermetrix (UK) profiling tools DISC and Values Index to assess staff profile, team profile, leadership styles and values dominant in the Company at the moment. The speaker will also share his experiences on various issues relating to the topic of discussion to further enhance understanding of the issues.

Get To Know The Trainer

Trainer Hisham


Hisham was formerly the Head of Academic at International College of Automotive (ICAM), Pekan, Pahang. He was also the Registrar of ICAM from December 2011 till May 2012. He graduated with a Master Degree in Business Administration from Morehead State University, Kentucky, USA in May 1985. He did his Bachelor Degree I Business Administration (BBA) majoring in Finance from University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma USA in 1984. On his return to Malaysia he joined Institute Technology MARA now known as UITM as a lecturer in the School of Business & Management from September 1985 till March 1987.
