Course Objectives

An Environmental Management System (EMS) is part of an organisation’s management system used to develop and implement its environmental policy and manage its environmental aspects.  

The environmental performance of an organization may be assessed from measurable results obtained through its management of its environmental aspects.  Environmental aspects identification is one of the main elements as well as the foundation for an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

Participants will learn to:

  • understand the terms and definitions in relation to aspect & impact
  • identify aspects related to their processes
  • determine significant aspects

understand the relation between aspects, policy, environmental legal and other requirements, objectives and operational controls.
