Course Objectives

Preventive and Predictive Maintenance is a program for fundamental improvement in the performance and productivity of any plant, machine and processes that involves the entire workforce. It is a new philosophy of continuous improvement and team work that creates a sense of ownership in the operation of each machine as well as in their supervisor and the maintenance people involved.

Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, which addresses people, their equipment, and the work processes they use, is an equipment management approach that focuses the total organization on improving equipment reliability and performance.  Reliable equipment reduces work-in-process inventories, reduces processing delays, improves flow, improves quality, and eliminates many “waiting” wastes. 

Participants will learn to:

  •  Understand the philosophy of PREVENTIVE AND PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE .
  • Learn how to identify the major losses in PREVENTIVE AND PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE and steps to be taken to eliminate or reduce these losses.
  • Understand how to collect data and calculate OEE.
  • Learn step by step on how to promote and implement Autonomous Maintenance.
  • Learn how to design Planned Maintenance programs for a zero unplanned plant shutdown.
