INTRODUCTION

Adnan is a certified Certificate IV trainer by the Australian Vocational Standards in Training and Assessment and is a certified trainer with Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (Ministry of Human Resource, Malaysia). He also holds professional certificates in Shell Heavy Vehicle Driving program by Ace Automotive Centre of Excellence and Advanced Driver Training on Heavy Good Vehicle by Heavy Good Vehicle Advanced Driver Training Centre. He has attended advanced driver training on heavy good vehicles by Cycle & Carriage Bintang Bhd.

Since 1978, he has worked with Shell as one of its tanker lorry drives and as a trainer for Shell drivers. He has vast experience in providing comprehensive theory and practical training as well as coaching to drivers in defensive driving. He has also trained Petronas and BP drivers in defensive driving.

He is a trainer with more than 20 years of experience in developing modules in defensive driving for both heavy goods and light vehicles.

His impressive list of career experiences which span a decade include:-

• Driver Trainer for Shell Malaysia
• Driver Trainer and Safety Road Ranger for Petronas Chemical
• Driver Trainer and Safety Road Ranger for BP Chemical drivers, staff and spouses
• Appointed as a trainer by Institute Motor Industry (IMI) (UK) – Defensive Driving Trainer

His mission is to enhance drivers’ knowledge and mind set to take every necessary step to avoid accidents and to have a safe journey.
