INTRODUCTION

Amargit Singh conducts consultancy and training on Risk Management and Business Continuity Management based on international standards, such as ISO 31000 risk management, ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management Systems – Requirements), and ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management standards. He has also conducted training, consultancy and auditing for other ISO standards, such as ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Safety & Health, ISO 28000 Security Management System.

He is a Chartered Accountant (Malaysia) and Chartered Management Accountant (UK) as well as a fellow member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountant, England and member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He is a Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA, USA) and Certified in Risk and Information Security Control (CIRSC, USA). He has passed IRCA-certified ISO 27001:2005 Information Security Management Systems and has “hands-on” experience in ISO 27001 auditing and training.

He is an ASQ-Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Auditor.  He is Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner (UK). He is a Chartered Member of The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (UK.He was IRCA-registered Lead Assessor for ISO 9001 Quality Manageme nt Systems, ISO 14001 environmental management systems and assessor for OHSAS 18001, ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Reporting.

He was an assessor for validation and verification of Green- House Gases-related CDM (GHG) projects registered with UNFCCC. He has passed (a) SGS Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Lead Assessor course (b) EU ETS Aviation training (c) ISCC auditor training for biofuel (RED). He was a Tutor for SGS ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training course. He is a Certified HRDC trainer with Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (HRDC) with certificate no: TTT/0692 and Certification in Training Evaluation (Cert No EET/0022).

Currently, he is a Managing Consultant and has previous worked as the General Manager – Systems & Service Certification with a Geneva-based group of companies that operates in 130 countries. He has worked with a British multi-national company as Works Manager as well as in a defence-related company as a Quality Assurance Manager.

He has more than twenty-six years of “hands-on” experience in different areas of management, some of which includes: general management, manufacturing, service industry, business development, business strategic planning, performance improvement, materials management, logistics, quality engineering, six sigma, quality and environmental audits, green-house gases verification and validation (UNFCCC), risk management, information security auditing, business continuity management,  production planning and control, budgeting and strategic cost management, occupational safety & health, toxic & hazardous waste management and research
