Brian Gan has vast experience in the field of Process Improvement & Business Transformation since 2003 in manufacturing and servicing. He holds a Degree in Industrial Engineering from Monash University. He is also a PSMB Certified professional trainer and a member of the Institute of Engineers.
He has sound working experience and exposure in Lean Manufacturing (also known as Toyota Production System). He successfully developed positive and productive changes in the workplace by winning the commitment & participation of the employees with proven concepts & tools of improvements involving all staff top-down. He implemented world class operational practices such as 5S, Kaizen, Just-In-Time (Kanban) job planning, Value Stream Mapping, SMED (Quick Production Changeover) as initial steps to change the working environment and to stay competitive and profitable.
Prepared to sustain success and continuity, he gives priority in developing the competency of his workers and trainees with the latest knowledge, skill and proficiency. As a change leader, he continuously prepares and updates his knowledge and talent to benefit the people and organizations who request his guidance, influence as a change initiative mentor. He believes in recognizing that change or improvement implemented in the workplace is a powerful motivator for employees and the organization; a key footstep to drive an organization to stay competitive in the business world.
The facilitator also has greatly contributed to the achievement of the Quality Standards ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System for the companies he was employed with; maintaining its continuity and sustainability to meet competitive market challenges.
He has experience working with renowned employers such as Iris Technologies, Autoliv Hirotako, AmBank and many more. The most exciting events were the experience and knowledge gained when leading productivity workshops, developing and implementing organizational lean transformation programs in these companies.
He was appointed as in-house Lean/TPS program trainer & coach for Ge Shen Plastic Group (public
listed on Bursa Malaysia) since 2010 which focuses on the implementation of 6S, Visual Control,
Kaizen, VSM and SMED.
