INTRODUCTION

The Trainer graduated with Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Housing, Building & Planning from Universiti Sains Malaysia and holds a Master in Business Administration from University of Portsmouth UK. He is currently pursuing his PhD on Behavioral-Based Safety at Univesiti Sains Malaysia.

He has more than 25 years of working experience in the field of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), with a number of established multinational companies. He has formerly led/ participated in State EHS Councils/Committees for 12 years.

He is currently a Corporate Senior Safety Program Manager attached to a US Multi-National Corporation (MNC). He has a wealth of experience in environment, health, safety, risk management, business continuity, ethics, controls and compliance. He started as a site EHS Engineer and held various EHS Management roles prior to his last role as the Regional Manager in Risk Management & Compliance. He is a certified Lead Auditor for the OHSAS-18001 Occupational Health & Safety management and ISO-14001 Environmental Management System (EMS).

His vast experience includes presentation of numerous EHS papers in both State, National & International EHS Conferences across Asia Pacific, Europe and the US. In addition, he has also conducted in-house EHS training and audits for various industries and has conducted the SHO Certificate program and other EHS training programs at the National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH).

He has developed many training programs, among which are understanding Malaysian EHS laws & regulations & its impact on your company, behavioural-based safety (BBS), chemical safety, hazard communication, global harmonized system (GHS),setting & managing an effective safety & health committee, developing & executing effective EHS audits & inspections programs, warehouse safety, confined space awareness & rescue, electrical safety, lockout & tag out (LOTO) program, power industrial trucks & forklift safety, office ergonomics, manufacturing, labs & warehouse ergonomics fall protection, ladder safety, risk & control program, ethics & compliance, corporate social responsibility (CSR), business continuity, business recovery & crisis management, emergency preparedness & response, hazardous materials & wastes handling, transportation & storage, noise & hearing conservation program (HCP),ionizing radiation safety, non-ionizing radiation safety, lead safety and respiratory protection.
