Dr Azlin has  a strong passion incommunity and social preventive medicine. Upon graduating from the Queen’s University Belfast, Dr Azlin completed her housemanship and training in Internal Medicine as a Senior House Officer in the United Kingdom. Asamedical student, she won two scholarships from her university to work in the esteemed St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.

On returning to Malaysia, she joined as a trainee lecturer in Family Medicine in University Malaya Medical Centre and was part of are search team for Sexual Violence against Women in Malaysia. Apart from research, having trained to be a Family Medicine specialist, disease prevention an devidenced based medicine have been the core of Dr Azlin’s practice and believes. She is very passionate about health, and in empowering people to take control of their health. She aims to educate, inspire and encourage others to lead a healthy life style. She is also a great believer that being able to change a person’s view and mind set about their health and lifestyle will, not only, improve their health but also affects the generations to come. She joined Beacon International Hospital last year to head the medical team in the Health Screening Centre and hope stoin culcate these belief in all the medical and nursing staffs.

Outside work, Dr Azlin is part of the team of volunteers in Beacon  International Hospital and the Islamic Relief Team, which are both active in giving health care and promoting health amongst the refugees and Rohingyans as well as the orang aslis.
