INTRODUCTION

Fauzie is a Manufacturing Engineer by training with over 27 years of professional experience in the electronics, food & beverages, pharmaceuticals and life sciences industries, in private sector. Starting his career within the electronics industry for USA multinational organizations, Fauzie gained real hands-on experience from operations management, facility management, and quality system and project management perspectives. Further to this, he was heavily involved in the technology and product transfer from headquarters to Malaysia. He has led the localization of packaging components, assembly components, Point of Sales design and testing capabilities and relocating the Point of Sales packing and distribution hub to Malaysia.

During his Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences career, he was involved in the acquisition and turn around projects for pharmaceuticals manufacturing plants in Malaysia. He was involved in setting up the first HALAL empty gelatine capsules plant, Project Management and Engineering works in the upgrades of pharmaceuticals manufacturing plants (facilities, utilities and equipment), enhance the GMP compliance level, increase production capacity and optimize the supply chain management. He has led the entire operations for generics Penicillin and Non- Penicillin OSD and Galenical manufacturing plants.

He has served as a Manufacturing Division Regional Head for cost optimization initiatives, HALAL certifications, ISO certifications (9001, 140001 and 18001), Risk Management, Lean Manufacturing initiatives and government affairs functions for business compliance and incentives. Ahmad Fauzie is actively and constantly involved with the government’s agencies in promoting investment, productivity initiatives and HALAL. He is the member of MS 2424 Halal Pharmaceuticals working group to revise the current standard and a certified Human Resource Development Fund trainer. He conducts external training programs on Good Manufacturing Practices, Halal, HACCP and Lean Manufacturing.

In the last management role, Fauzie was on the management of an international investment company base at Kuala Lumpur, promoting healthcare projects (human vaccines and pharmaceuticals). He is responsible to manage the government affairs functions, business compliance, investment and commercialization. Through his business network, Ahmad Fauzie is actively liaising with Government bodies and international agencies to further realise potential opportunities within the healthcare sector.

He is a member of Internal Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Global Member of International Institute of Risk Management & Crisis Strategies (IIRMACS) and Rareseed Global Risk Management Advisory Services (RGRMAS).
