INTRODUCTION

Garry is a lawyer who shifted gears from fast car as motoring journalist, to fast company as creative director, to fast mind as certified trainer-coach and mediator. He has been in the communication arena for more than 27 years working in various capacities ranging from employee to business owner, from consultant advisor to trainer-coach and he is currently the CEO for Asia Mediation Centre provides alternative dispute resolution through mediation process.

He has conducted training and consulting for more than 20-years in numerous countries like Oman, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. He develops and customises transformational programme to meet clients’ needs.He was also the legal director of Cavemen Asia Sdn Bhd, Links Strategic Communications Sdn Bhd, Asia Business Consulting, and Medica Comfort Zone Sdn Bhd. He also assisted the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) in busting crime and corruption.

As a founder and also co-founded quite a few businesses, on top of mentor to start-ups where he truly understands employers’ challenges in their journey of being entrepreneur and leader. Garry is currently mentoring and coaching CEOs, management teams and a few startups. He is the Past Vice President of Malaysian Association of Professional Speakers (MAPS), affiliated with Global Speakers Federation (GSF), and a member of Malaysia Association of Professional Trainers & Coaches (MAPTaC). Being a social conscious citizen, he participates in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities by assisting the British Graduates Association of Malaysia (BGAM) as an Honorary Secretary and committee, on top of being a Life Member since 2006; a Certified & Head Trainer & Qualifying Board for Junior Chamber International (JCI), a non-governmental organisation of movement of young national citizenship; and Alumni Ambassador for University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.

Garry is a veteran in supporting managers, executives, and professionals when they need to exhibit diplomacy and wisdom under pressure in stressful career, job, leadership, or personal situations. He has also been coaching TED Talk speakers since 2013. He acted as a change agent, moving teams and individuals from status quo to new ways of thinking, through offering solutions focused on changing behaviours and fostering growth.

Being an active in-house legal general counsel for various companies and organisations, Garry has been invited to give talks, lectures, tutors, consulting, coaching and among others whether it is face-to-face or online platforms. Among the legal topics he had covered are Contract Law, International Trade Law, Criminal Procedure & Penal Code, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act, Employment Act & Labour Ordinance, Industrial Relations Act, Social Security Act, Skills Development Act, Industrial Relations Act.
