INTRODUCTION

Haji Arip Haji Mohd has over 30 years of experience in the field of training and development and has built a strong reputation in the local training and labour domain. As a professional trainer, he specialises in programs such as Understanding The Labour Law, Domestic Inquiry Process, Labour Attaches Protecting Migrant Workers, Handling Problematic Staff, The Employment Act (1955), Disciplinary Action, Performance Appraisal, Human Resource Management, Interviewing Skills and other areas related to Employment Act.

He is an experienced trainer in the subject matter as he is a hands-on practitioner. Many cases that he shares with his participants are often real-life examples and solutions that he had encountered in the past during his career as the Director of Law and Enforcement (Pengarah Bahagian Perundangan dan Penguatkuasaan) at the Jabatan Tenaga Kerja (JTK).

He is also exposed to the International Labour / Employment Issues whereby he attended and co-organised international seminars  / events, namely:

  • ASEAN seminar on “Labour Attaches Protecting Migrant Workers: Strengthening Collaboration in Asia.
  • BMTIA – JPA Seminar (British – Malaysia Industries and Trade Association), Rothman.
  • Respresented Malaysian Human Resource Ministry on “Kerjasama Dua Hala”, Filipina.
  • Represented Jabatan Tenaga Kerja and Ministry of Human Resource in the drafting of MOU regarding the Indonesian Maid.

He is also a part time lecturer for various colleges and universities.  His sessions are always full of innovative and creative approaches, making his participants motivated and eager to learn.  Over the years, he has developed, designed and delivered many training programmes to in house and public such as Domestic Inquiry Process & Industrial Relations For Managers; The Employment Act 1955; Trade Union Act; Procedures In Labour Court Proceeding & Industrial Court; Foreign Worker Studies; Handling Absenteeism; Handling Problematic Employees; Recruiting For Results; Dismissal; Akta Pampasan Pekerja 1952; Akta Perhubungan Perusahaan 1987; Pengendalian Kes Buruh; Isu-Isu Perburuhan Semasa & Penyelesaiannya; Pembentukan Perundingan Bersama and many more.  

Among the many well-established organizations that have benefited from his expertise are Jabatan Tenaga Kerja (JTK), Universiti Malaya, Institut Latihan Kehakiman dan Perundangan Negara (ILKAP), Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Pharmaniaga Bhd., Sapura Industrial Bhd, Pusat Pembelajaran Berterusan Universiti Malaya, Kesatuan Pekerja-pekerja Proton, Kenzen Tetsu Sdn Bhd, G.
