INTRODUCTION

Mark practiced law before he joined the academia. He obtained his LLM from UM and is actively involved in research and publication. His research interest is in Comparative Constitutional Law and Malaysian Land Law. He has edited several Annotated Statues of Malaysia, published both by LexisNexis and the Legal Review. They include the Federal Constitution and the National Security (Sedition Act). Mark has also contributed articles for ‘The Commonwealth Lawyer’ (UK), the Bar Council’s e-publication entitled 'Legal Craft & Such’, University Malaya’s Journal of Malaysian and Comparative Law (JMCL) as well as ‘The Edge’ magazine.

Besides writing, he has also presented papers at various conferences, notably the International Malaysian Law Conference 2012 which was organised by the Malaysian Bar and the Constitutional and Rule of Law Conference which was organized by LawAsia. He was the Committee Member of the Common Bar Course, which was set up by the Malaysian Bar.
