Trainer P. Ravi

INTRODUCTION

A First Aid & CPR Instructor with more than 15 years of experience, P. Ravi Shankar Periasamy is with the Malaysian Red Crescent Society since 1990. He is exceptionally familiar and his knowledge with Disaster Response and First Aid Training is unsurpassed.

Over the years, he has attended courses and sat for professional examinations, namely First Aid & CPR Instructor (MRCS), First Responder Life Support, Basic Trauma Care, Advance First Aid, Malaysian Trauma Life Support, Burn Management, Regional Disaster Response Team, Seminar Perdana Di Tapak Bina, Safety & Health Officer Course NIOSH and Emergency Technician Course.

He has also offered his assistance and expertise in rescue efforts locally and internationally. In 1993, he assisted with the rescue efforts during the Highland Towers collapsed, and another rescue effort during Tan Sri Ismail’s house in Hulu Kelang in 2002. Other rescue efforts he was involved in that had gripped the world’s headline was the tsunami disaster in Banda, Aceh, Indonesia, earthquake tragedy in Yogyakarta and landslide at Bukit Antarabangsa, Hulu Kelang. On the local front, he extended his assistance in medical and rescue efforts in local floods and fires situations.

He is a very dedicated trainer who does not hesitate to train and educate the public and participants on the importance and significance of first aid and cpr concepts. He believes everyone should have the basic knowledge of first aid and cpr which can be apply in emergency situations and every little small effort and steps taken to deal immediately with the emergency are imperative.
He has trained and coached many organizations and individual participants throughout his span of career.
