INTRODUCTION

Peter Ong Gim Teck has an Master of Business Administration in I.T. Management from Multimedia University and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Finance & Psychology from University of Oregon, USA.  He is a full time trainer and operates his own training & consultancy company serving MNC and SME organizations. 

He is an Accredited Training Professional (ATP) and has conducted training programs in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Planning Management, Inventory & Warehouse Management, Supervisory Skills and Mandarin Programs to various MNC and SME organizations.  He had obtained the Certificate of Achievement, Dale Carnegie Course from the worldwide reputable Dale Carnegie Training, USA.   

 

Peter specializes in Supply Chain Management with a diverse experience of more than       20 years in manufacturing procurement, training and consulting.  He has a total of 13 years  extensive, in-depth, hands-on and vast procurement experiences from mass production (one of the world’s leader in electronics manufacturing) to heavy duty environment (steel mill producing colour coated galvanized coil and cold roll mill) to mass customization (a leader in high precision electronics machine manufacturer). 

 

During his employment, he was one of the key committee members of Inventory Reduction Team who successfully reduced RM millions inventories for the MNC.  Throughout his procurement experience, he was actively involved in oversea procurement and specialized in global sourcing skills. As the project leader in Supply Chain initiatives, he has developed policy, system, procedures in managing and developing subcontractors.  He had successfully developed the vital few subcontractors and developed effective supplier tier system. He had designed and conducted various in-house trainings such as negotiation strategy, cost analysis, delivery expediting strategy, strategic procurement planning and inventory reduction strategies, developed ISO’s Purchasing Manuals and successfully trained the Purchasing staff in its effective implementation. 

 

In addition, his wide exposure of various management styles from USA, Japan, Taiwan and Europe added to his broad educational background had given him an additional leverage in providing a holistic and pragmatic training related to the complete cycle of supply chain process – planning, purchasing, warehouse, inventory reduction and supply chain management.  Many participants have shown significant improvements after attending his training through his unique way of delivery the training material: PAR (Practical-oriented + Action-oriented + Result-oriented)
