Shamsul has more than 25 years of experience in the Banking industry. Shamsul graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration but began his career in IT. It was during a company-wide IT migration project that he found himself involved in providing training for the end-users. He later found a niche with his IT and training experience when was tasked to head the e-Learning function of a telecommunications company.
During his service in HSBC, he was the Learning Delivery Manager, then became the Learning Channels and Operations Manager, where his accomplishments included designing and developing the learning curriculum for HSBC AMANAH Malaysia Berhad (Learning and Growth). The curriculum incorporated the following subject-matter:
· Shariah Knowledge
· Product Knowledge
· Sales and Services
· Systems and Operational Knowledge
· Leadership and Management Development
Over the years, he has also developed his skills and experience in HR Management and has been involved in IT out-sourcing project (PETRONAS), voluntary separation schemes (CELCOM), HR transformation (HSBC), and HR portal development (CELCOM & HSBC).
He was a core committee member for the implementation of HSBC AMANAH (Islamic Bank) branch network, tasked with the design and development of people readiness training and development for the 26 branches in Malaysia.
He had accumulated more than 25 years of work experience in the oil and gas, telecommunications, consultancy and banking and finance industries. As a training facilitator, Shamsul’s specialties include the following:
