Yong Hooi Ming left Sony EMCS Malaysia Sdn Bhd as the Senior Manager of Compensation and Employee Relations. She has over 18 years experienced in various backgrounds after graduating from University Malaya with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She also earned the certificate of Human Resource Management from Ansted University in 2001 and Certificate of Multimedia – Computer Based Training from SHRDC in conjunction with Box Hill College of TAFE, Victoria, Australia.
Moreover, she has successfully completed the Accelerated Learning Trainer Development Program from People Potential Sdn Bhd in 2000. She is also one of the qualified Sony EMCS Malaysia Sdn Bhd Internal Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 since 1993. She is a Certified Sony Six Sigma Trainer who has received the Black Belt Training from Air Academy Associates based in Colorado Springs, USA and Black Belt Trainer Course and Green Belt Trainer course from Sony Corporation, Tokyo, Japan.
She has wide working experience and exposure in a Multinational Japanese Manufacturing Operation (MNC). She successfully set up production quality management system and developed change culture in the workplace through deployment of continuous improvement (“Kaizen”) and production / manufacturing innovation activities involving all staffs bottom-up / top-down. She has implemented a series of quality initiative activities such as QCC (Quality Control Circle), CEDAC, Poka Yoke (Problem Preventive Approach), Visual Management, Toyota Production System and Six Sigma projects at par to stay competitiveness in the market, meeting customers satisfaction and improving profitability.
Yong HM also has vast experience in the field of Human Resource (HR) for more than 9 years on multiple area of HR : Recruitment, Training & Development, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefit, Payroll, HR Strategic Planning & Control and HR Management System. She successfully introduced the 1st foreign worker outsource operation in the company, promote harmonious relationship within the company through in-house Union Management (JCC), established Company Competency Model for all levels, lead & execute the implementation of Employee Separation Schemes without major issues, implemented performance based compensation system as reward strategy in the company, developed Company Training Curriculum with competency based training programs and introduced “Management Trainee Program” as one of the talent recruitment strategy in the company.
