The 6 Elements of a Great Prompt
Why ChatGPT isn’t broken—your prompt might be. We hear this all the time: “I tried ChatGPT… but the answer was boring.” “It didn’t really help.”
Despite the fact the it is not formally taught anywhere in our education system; we pick up this skill by ourselves very quickly from childhood. What begins as a simple act of avoiding punishment can steadily grow to an act of avoiding responsibilities. There are many psychological reasons as to why we assign blame to others.
Here are some of them:
#1 – Preservation
It’s a competitive world and we constantly compare ourselves with others. Some people find it easy to blame others and make them look bad to eliminate competition. It stems from the idea that if you make somebody look bad; you automatically look good. You become the “better” alternative.
#2 – Redirection
Sometimes we just feel miserable and don’t really know why. So, we end up pointing fingers to everyone and everything else. This is done to distract the mind and give a physical representation to the pain we feel.
#3 – Conditioning
This is a means to control. As human beings, we live in a society and conform to rules and regulation. When we step out of this order, we are made to be a bad example and are shunned upon. Our innate fear of this ensures our compliance.
Playing the blame game is an act of avoidance. We do it because we don’t want to take action. Is it possible to live in a society that does not assign blame? I don’t think it’s going to happen anytime soon but we can change one person at a time. The path to personal happiness begins when we start taking ownership.
