Course Objectives

This training is covered understanding of metrology use in our daily work and the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 for the latest version, which inclusive of the five requirements which cover the basic management and technical requirements.

The management requirement properly is covering the effectiveness and proficiency of the management system through commitment, strategy planning and efficient use of resources by top management.

Understand the key terminologies related to the science of measurements and ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Understand the objective and scope of the ISO/IEC 17025 Standards.
Understand the function of testing and calibration and its contribution.
Understand the general, structural, resource, process and management system requirements that are basic management and technical requirements to build up laboratory quality management system, QMS.
Identify the importance criteria in the ISO/IEC 17025 used to ensure the validity of the test and/or calibration results.
Know the concept of the measurement system may help avoid unnecessary error or risks when the measurement results use to decide.
Aware the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 and SAMM Policies
Handle the situation during auditing that based on ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.
Realize and identify the important requirements in the ISO/IEC 17025 to maintain laboratory accreditation and assess the laboratories for recognition and competency based on ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Help the organization to develop, document and implement the requirements of laboratory accreditation.

Target Audience

The personnel are involved calibration and testing laboratory’s quality management system, especially those companies are accredited with ISO/IEC 17025 or going to apply for accreditation and the personnel are involving internal quality audit activity.

He has been in Metrology career since 1991, he is a PhD holder in Business (Sunway University), doing research by using Applied Statistics, Master of Science in Statistics (UM), BSc in Chemistry (UM) and also holds his EC Part II in Electrical and Electronic (UK), having Professional Certification from America Society for Quality for: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA), Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB). His multi-disciplinary educational background enabled him to create the essence of the company’s core technologies.
