Forklift Truck Safety Training

Course Objectives

• Identify cause and effect of accident and sensitiveness about safety.
• Identify character and the functions of truck components.
• To carry out daily inspection, safety, performance and preventive maintenance to reduce repair cost.

• To train Truck handlers become more cautious, safe and efficient

Target Audience

• Forklift & Reach truck -regular handlers (male / female)
• Forklift & Reach truck -occasional handlers
• Lorry cum Forklift & Reach Truck handlers
• Warehouse supervisors
• Maintenance crew members.
• Safety and Health officer
• Safety and Health committee members
• Production Workers (occasional truck handlers)

Methodology

Training Facilities

• LCD projector
• Practical Test
• An open area about 20~40 square meters.
• Forklift & Reach Truck 2 unit.
• 200 lit. empty drums 10 units
• Wooden or Plastic Skid pallets- 25 pieces.
• High box pallet 3 units- 4 feet x 4 feet 

Safety Apparels
All participants attending this program need to be properly attired. Participants should be equipped with appropriate safety protectors.

• Safety shoes (Preferably low cut)
• Safety Helmet (with chin strap)
• Reflective vest

The program consists of classroom lectures, group discussion workshop, Reach Truck Safety video screening, Applied practical instruction (Hands on), Evaluation (Written and Practical assessment).
