INTRODUCTION

Ken graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland in 1996. Prior to that, he obtained his Diploma in Banking and Finance through the Institute of Bankers Malaysia. In 2010, he completed the full certification of Training and Assessment, certified by the Australian body (AWBT – Australian Wide Business Training). He is also a certified trainer for 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, apart from being a Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) coach and practitioner.

Ken has 30 years of banking experience in 5 leading banks in Malaysia. He started his career in the retail product segment, having worked both in foreign and local banks. He also spent 7 years in a bank’s training department, specializing in soft skills and team building. Under the publication of Institute Bankers Malaysia, he authored an examination manual entitled ‘Introduction to Monetary Economics and the Malaysian Financial System’ (1999-2000). In addition, he was involved in the education sector, as he worked as a part-time lecturer during March 2002-February 2003. He is exposed to facilitating to the younger groups, as he has trained more than 1,000 students in local institutions (diploma and degree programs) since 1997.

Overall, Ken’s strengths lie in development and facilitating soft skills programs including basic and advanced management skills, Service and Communication, NLP Communication, Outdoor and Indoor Teambuilding, Extreme Outdoor Teambuilding (Outward Bound School),  creativity workshops, Culture and Organization Change, Motivation and Leadership, coaching workshops, Service Transformation Programs, Negotiation Skills, Mentoring Programs, as well as Motivation Talks and Seminars (StarJobs.com Speaker in May 2013). Ken speaks fluent Bahasa Malaysia and is known to use non-conventional learning methodology such as treasure hunts and quizzes in his training programs.
