> Trainer Tang
Spoken
Mr Tang completed his Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He had his clinical attachment at Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM, where he was trained to involve nutrition care process in cases such as metabolic syndrome, chronic kidney disease, enteral nutrition (tube feeding) and individualised nutrition support.
Besides, he was a community dietitian at a community pharmacy, where he served for the com- munity with dietetic knowledge. There, he managed cases such as supplementary food prescrip- tion, enteral feed planning, and dietary advices for people living with diabetes mellitus. He was also trained with knowledge on supplement use when he was serving there.
In previous practice, Mr. Tang noticed that nutrition-related topics are potentially deemed unreachable and burdensome by the general public and in clinical setting. Thus, with appropriate individualised modification, he is interested in making the evidence-based nutrition knowledge practical, sustainable and a part of living.
