Basic First Aid and Emergency Care

Course Objectives

In order to accelerate skill development, this course features a problem-based learning approach that provides a collaborative job-focused experience:

•          To apply procedural requirements to anticipate emergency scenarios, and apply critical thinking skills for prevention and to respond to emergencies.

•          To collaboratively build a personal compilation of recommendations to apply on the job and family

•          To distinguish factors to consider when giving first aid treatment, building a command and control structure and identifying training needs and requirements for skills & drills.

Target Audience

• First Aid & Fire Team Members & Wardens
• Safety and Health Committee Members
• Emergency Response Team Members
• Persons who involved in first aid and fire routine procedure
• For all employees up to supervisory level who would be required to assist in the event of emergency
• Parents, teachers, other layperson

Methodology

The Course content will be delivered through short lectures, group discussions, group presentation, roleplay, skill practice and mock exercise during the training programme. Certification in training will be awarded to the participants upon full attendance.
