Course Objectives

This course will benefit you to document the risk assessment and internal quality audit reports for Standards Malaysia as an evidence compliance to new ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard. Furthermore, all the accredited laboratories shall be assessed to the new standard after 1 January 2019, then these two documents are very important before you can be transit to the new standard.

Understand the key terminologies used in risk assessment and quality audit.
Know the new requirements for the actions to address risks and opportunities.
Identify and plan actions for address the risks and opportunities for the laboratory activities.
Evaluate effectiveness of actions to address risks and opportunities
Create a new procedure for assessing and managing risks, opportunities, and actions.
Understand the quality audit process that will effectively plan and conduct an internal quality audit.
Evaluate and report the results of an internal audit that will find opportunities for improvement and positive practices.
Prepare the standard operating procedures for internal quality audit.
Document risk assessment and internal quality audit reports which are requested by Standards Malaysia for transition to the new ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
Implement a systematic process to ensure ongoing conformance with the new standard requirements

Anyone with ISO/IEC 17025 responsibility, including new implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, IATF 16949 organizations, internal and external management system auditors, Lab personal etc

Dr Ng is a qualified trainer registered with PSMB. He has been in Metrology career since 1991, he is a PhD holder in Business (Sunway University), doing research by using Applied Statistics, Master of Science in Statistics (UM), BSc in Chemistry (UM) and also holds his EC Part II in Electrical and Electronic (UK), having Professional Certification from America Society for Quality for: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA), Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB). His multi-disciplinary educational background enabled him to create the essence of the company’s core technologies.
