Module 1        

Overview of the English Language 

• This provides the groundwork of what the English Language is about.
• It explains the need for the Parts of Speech.

Module 2        

Nouns, Pronouns and Adjective       These are the first forms of words;

• Nouns; the various forms of nouns,
• Pronouns; words that replace Nouns
• Adjectives; words that describe nouns

Module 3        

Verbs, Adverbs and Tenses 

Verbs are the most important form of the word. They are

1. Physical Action Verbs and Non-physical
2. Verb to be
3. Verb to have

• Adverbs; words that describe the verbs
• Tenses; relate to the time of an event

Module 4        

Connecting Words; Prepositions, Conjunctions

• Prepositions; a word that explains the time, space and logical relationships between the other parts of a sentence.
• Conjunctions; a word used to connect clauses or sentences or to coordinate words in the same clause.

Module 5        

Articles          

Articles are words that define a noun as specific or unspecific.

Module 6        

Sentence Construction         

The formula for a sentence is SVO, S – Subject, V – Object and O – Object. The understanding of the Parts of Speech will allow the easy use of SVO.

Module 7        

Questions and Responses    

• Questions are essential to make enquiries.

Module 8        

Correct Pronunciation          

There are small techniques which we adopt to sound better.
