Course Objectives

At the end of this program, the participants are expected to demonstrate the followings:

  • Apply the FIVE (5) elements of ‘I.N.T.R.O’ Principle to lead the audience during presentation with high impact,

  • Apply the SIX (6) steps to present information in a sequential manner to enhance audience’s buy-in on the presentation elements,

  • Apply the FOUR (4) R’s Principle to handle difficult audience tactfully and insightfully.

Target Audience

Professionals, Managers , Head Of Departments, Executives , Technical Experts.

Methodology

This program will be conducted with interactive lectures, PowerPoint presentation, discussion and practical exercise.

Course Modules

Module 1: Deliver A High Impact Presentation – Apply The SIX (6) Essential Steps
Step 1: Make the first presentation impression to last forever.

  • Apply the right opening for the right objective.
  • Create an opened and interactive environment.
  • Minimise presenter’s and audience’s anxiety.
  • Portray a comfortable verbal and non verbal communication styles. 
  • Demonstrate active listening.

Step 2: Create the right focus-mind in the target audience by setting the right expectations of the presentation

  • Emphasis the objectives of the presentation
  • Emphasis the expected outcome of the
    presentation

Step 3: Develop learner’s interest towards learning.

  • Develop interest ‘grabbers’ (i.e. short
    experiential activities, video clip, statistics, current findings, etc).
  •  Develop illustrative presentation aids (i.e.
    illustrative PowerPoint presentation slides).
  • Ensure ‘sensory’ presentation experience
    where audience SEE, THINK, LISTEN and FEEL to buyin presentation elements.

Step 4: Present your information in a systematically
structured manner to enable the audience to follow through your presentation in a sequential approach.

· Develop a logical presentation framework

·  Present in a ‘bit-by-bit’ manner and in digestible chunks 

 

Step 5: Handle Q&A session tactfully.

·  Initiate Q&A session

·   Facilitate overwhelming Q&A session tactfully

· Handle difficult questions professionally

 

Step 6: End the presentation with a ‘BANG’ – people remember what they hear last.

·   Emphasise on why audience buy-in the presentation elements should

·   Emphasise on action plan

Trainer Roy

Roy holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science. He started off as a Software Engineer and slowly ventured into the Oil & Gas Sector as a Transport Manager under a SHELL haulage contractor; to finally find himself as a Sales Manager in an IT solutions firm. Due to his keen drive to network and build business relationships, he started his own systems integrator business in 2007. During his entrepreneurship, he became involved with Business Network International (BNI), an international business networking body and served as its previous chapter vice-president and president. He is still an advocate and currently serves as a Director Consultant.
