CE Ong holds a Master Of Management from University Malaya; a Bachelors in Business Administration from Royal Melbourne Institute Of Technology University (RMIT), Australia and a Diploma in Management (Merit) from Malaysian Institute Of Management (MIM). He is also an Accredited Administrator of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) ® by Australian Psychologist Press & Asianic Psychologists Press (APP) since 2007.
In 2010, CE Ong was awarded Certified Training Professional (CTP) by ITD / ARTDO after completed 10-day certification training and submission of project assignment. He is a PSMB certified trainer (Certificate No. TTT/4705) and has been appointed as Trainer for PSMB 5-day Train-The-Trainer Program since 2011.
CE Ong has more than 25 years of corporate experience with a multi-national financial institution, covering areas such as Operations, Collection, Finance and Human Resources. He was also involved in Learning and Development (L&D) functions and his last position was as Human Resource –Relationship Manager for Consumer Division of a bank.
His roles covered mainly three areas on Program Management, L & D Relationship Management & Facilitation. As a Facilitator, he has been certified to conduct a wide range of in-house training courses ranging from Career Coaching, Career Development, Change Management, Quality Principles, Customer’s Service to Employee Orientation and also induction briefing to non employees such as scholarship holders and FSTEP trainees.
During his tenure with L & D, he has trained more than 500 executives on career development based on the organization’s leadership competency model besides coaching managers up to vice president level on career coaching based on the same leadership competency model. Having been in training function for a multi-national financial institution, he has delivered training courses outside Malaysia such as Indonesia and Singapore. He has personally designed and delivered modules on “Enhancing Supervisory Leadership” in Indonesia for new management trainees. He has also designed and delivered “Changing Mind–Self Mastery” for selected participants in Malaysia.
As a Certified MBTI ® Administrator, he has coached more than 150 participants on how to use the personality profiling in achieving effective communication, enhancing inter personal relationship to achieve cohesive team work in delivering business results. His role as L & D Relationship Manager required him to perform Training Need Analysis together with line managers to implement yearly training plan. He has also introduced training roadmap “TRIP” (Toward Realization of Individual’s Potential) in a number of departments. “TRIP” has also been used as recruitment tool by some managers since it is a learning and development roadmap and has a strong appeal especially to Generation Y recruits.
CE Ong’s last corporate position was as the Human Resource – Relationship Manager where he handled end-to-end manpower transaction which covers among others; managing staff transfers, secondments, placements, conducts exit interviews and staff matters.
His passion is with people development and he is a strong believer of continuous learning. He is convinced that every employee, by their own-self, would like to make a difference to the organization. For them to reach higher level of performance, what they need is a manager who support, respect and inspire them.
